AIBLUD is a non profit organization whose aim is to promote social and health related activities which adhere to the principles of the International Agreement of Minors Rights (O.N.U. 1989) and to the concepts of global and effective perinatal care. AIBLUD has the following objectives:

• promote breastfeeding and the donation of human milk

• promote the utilization of donor human milk in the Neonatology Centers, particularly within the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)

• support the activity, coordination, and development of Human Milk Banks

• promote research activity and studies to improve the knowledge and the quality of human milk and its clinical uses

• promote continuous education and updating of health and social workers in the field of human milk banking
